Job summary

Techmetals in Dayton, OH is seeking a Materials Testing Technician to ensure quality and reliability of metal components across aerospace, defense, medical, and automotive sectors. The role offers pay up to $50,000 per year with starting pay of $20-$24 per hour and a strong benefits package.

As a team member, you will work in a safe laboratory environment, perform conditioning and testing of metal samples, and help generate accurate data and reports that support product quality and regulatory

Qualifications

• Education or hands-on experience in materials testing, metallurgy, mechanical testing, or a related technical field.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a strong work ethic in the laboratory.
• Cut, mount, and polish metal samples for testing.
• Conduct standard mechanical testing and tensile testing on metal samples.
• Capture and analyze photo-micrographs of samples.
• Record test data accurately and maintain spreadsheets as required.
• Analyze data and prepare reports as needed.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure the work area is clean and organized.
• Clock in and out for shifts, breaks, and meal periods according to company policies.
