Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Materials Test Engineering Intern to support testing of advanced materials for fusion tokamak systems. You will work in a fast-paced R&D environment on sample preparation, test execution, data collection and analysis, collaborating with engineers to evaluate material performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering degree with focus in Materials or Mechanical engineering.
• Experience with FTIR, Optical and SEM imaging and surface prep.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day operations and test development in the Materials Test Lab.
• Support sample preparation, test execution, data collection and analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers to evaluate material performance for fusion components.
