Job summary

Imperial Irrigation District is seeking a warehouse specialist to receive stock items, reconcile inventories, and manage storage and issue of materials in the district’s centralized warehouse. The role includes maintaining accurate records and performing related duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school equivalency, have relevant coursework in business management and records management, and obtain forklift and hazardous materials certifications within six months of hire,

Qualifications

• High school equivalency, plus college courses in business management, computers, records management and bookkeeping.
• Forklift Certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Hazardous Materials FRO/FRA certification required.
• First Aid and CPR training required.
• IIPP training and PPE use required.
• MSDS training and location of MSDS info for received/storage/issued materials required.
• Veteran's Preference: submit DD Form 214 or other evidence by posting deadline.
• A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, receives store stock items; reconciles, codes, inventories, stores and issues materials, equipment and supplies in the district's centralized warehouse or storage yard. Performs other duties as assigned.
