Job summary

Overlake Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Materials Technician for the day shift. You will handle the workflow for storage and distribution of general, medical, and surgical supplies, and track movements in the MMIS system.

Responsibilities include stocking carts, adjusting par levels, and coordinating with staff to meet daily needs. The role requires a High School diploma, a WA driver’s license, and experience in healthcare materials management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• WA Driver’s license required.
• Six months materials management experience in a healthcare institution preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.
• Frequent walking, lifting, and standing.
• Work environment is clean, climate-controlled and well-lit.

Responsibilities

• Manage workflow for storage and distribution of general, medical, and surgical supplies and equipment, including stocking, counting, and distributing items and recording movements in MMIS.
• Restock supply carts and adjust item mix and par levels across assigned units.
• Interact with staff to anticipate needs and provide timely updates on new supply items.
