Job summary

Yeh and Associates, Inc. is seeking experienced Materials Technicians to support engineers and managers in applying construction materials testing methods on diverse geotechnical projects.

You will collect soil, concrete, and asphalt samples, perform field tests, and help ensure conformity with project specifications while working across multiple locations. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and timely reporting, with opportunities for certification renewals and travel to project sites

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required.
• Ability to attain and renew certifications periodically.
• Understanding of construction materials testing concepts.
• Prepare detailed field reports daily.
• Prepare materials documentation in a timely fashion.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Self-motivated with strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Team player with collaborative attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors on construction sites and in labs.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Ability to travel for extended project durations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain soil, concrete, and asphalt samples per standard procedures.
• Test samples in field and lab to verify project specs.
• Represent owner/client to verify contractor quality.
• Assist engineers and geologists on various projects.
• Prepare detailed field reports and material documentation.
