Job summary

Terracon is seeking a motivated Field Technician to perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel on construction projects.

Under supervision you will prepare data and reports, maintain equipment, and adhere to safety standards. A valid driver’s license and 6 months of relevant experience are required; certifications such as ACI within 90 days and Nuclear Density Gauge within 6 months are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of field testing/observation experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable history.

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Communicate results to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
• Transport samples to the laboratory with documentation for analysis.
• Prepare data and written/digital reports for daily transmittals.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
• Follow safety rules and ensure quality on all projects.
