State of Missouri, Central District Laboratory in Jefferson City, MO, is seeking a materials technician to perform semi-skilled technical duties in sampling, testing, and inspection of materials used in highway construction and maintenance projects. Duties include field sampling, lab testing, data entry, and reporting, with opportunities for CAREER-LADDER advancement.
Position involves outdoor and laboratory work, physical effort, and occasional statewide travel; OSHA 10-Hour certification

The materials technician performs semi-skilled technical duties in the sampling, testing, and/or inspection of materials used in highway construction and maintenance projects; responsibilities are performed on location throughout the state and/or at the Central Laboratory. Responsibilities are performed under moderate supervision.
