Job summary

Sterling-Industries-4, within the Supply Chain department, seeks a Materials Supervisor to lead daily operations across purchasing, planning, and inventory control. You will drive supplier performance, optimize material flows, and partner with production teams to meet schedules and quality standards.

The role requires 5–10 years in manufacturing materials roles, strong ERP/MRP experience, and a proactive approach to continual improvement and cost management. Some travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or relevant area.
• 5-10 years’ experience in an operational, materials, or purchasing department within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP software for purchasing and production planning.
• Experience supporting business development projects with cross functional teams.
• High volume workload requires conscientious attitude with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the supply chain proactively to improve supplier core capabilities while reducing COGS.
• Utilize ERP/MRP software to automate purchasing and planning activities.
• Coordinate with operations to meet production planning goals.
• Maintain quality management systems; supplier audits and scorecards.
• Oversee inventory accuracy and annual physical inventory process.
