Job summary

Great Dane is seeking a Materials Supervisor to lead the hourly materials team across receiving, storage, replenishment, and timely delivery of material to the production lines at our Illinois facility.

You will supervise a small team of material handlers, coordinate outbound shipments to Aftermarket and suppliers, work with maintenance to keep equipment running, and maintain accurate inventory while supporting annual physicals and audits.

Qualifications

• Education and experience in supply chain or manufacturing.
• 1-3 years progressive experience in Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing in a heavy industrial environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate routine shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities under direct guidance from the Supply Chain Manager.
• Supervise a small team of material handlers to support daily production line replenishment.
• Maintain accurate inventory within assigned work areas and prepare for year-end counts.
• Lead material recycling and ensure safety and Lean practices across the department.
• Work with maintenance to ensure material handling equipment is properly maintained.
