Job summary

Pilkington Rossford plant is seeking an experienced supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations and logistics activities. You will manage shift staffing, ensure on-time delivery, maintain inventory, and act as the SAP administrator to keep data accurate.

Responsibilities include coordinating orders, training staff, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential to support customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years recent supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but will consider experience in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to utilize a computer-based inventory control system.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate to create positive work environment including team building, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Resolution of employee-related issues including mentoring and training.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent customer relations and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficient in the English language (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Staff the shift, and coordinate assignments and responsibilities to the scheduled team members.
• Understand priority of customers as assigned by Materials Manager.
• Prepare timely and accurate shipping schedules through analysis of customer orders and shipping sequences.
• Maximizes shipping productivity through attentiveness to customer needs, inventory and manpower.
• Responsible for quality and includes communicating with internal teams on issues.
• Develops internal/external programs to meet or exceed customer expectations through improving products, processes and services.
• Maintains records and documentation for history and audit purposes.
• Act as SAP Administrator and direct activities to maintain system accuracy.
• Resolve any receiving issues of components and imported glass.
• Manage direct material releases to meet minimum inventory levels.
