TrinityRail is hiring for Materials Supervisor at our Fort Worth, TX plant!

What You’ll Do:

• Coordinate the movement and storage of raw materials, finished products, and parts, including warehousing, shop, and delivery services, to ensure material availability and timely delivery to meet production schedules.
• Compile data on order volume, production schedules, and forecasts; apply statistical methods to estimate future material requirements.
• Maintain staff by orienting, training, and developing personal growth opportunities.
• Achieve staff job results through coaching, counseling, disciplining, planning, monitoring, and appraising performance; conduct training; enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and adhering to legal regulations.
• Complete operations by developing schedules, assigning and monitoring work, gathering resources, implementing productivity standards, resolving operational issues, maintaining manuals, and implementing new procedures.
• Control expenses, contribute ideas for cost savings, monitor expenditures and variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, reviewing procedures, specifications, MI’s, and manuals.

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of related experience.
• Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively with customers outside the organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with UBS, TTX, RailRX, CSX, Inlet, TAS, BPCS, SEI, or Mater systems is a plus.
