Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Materials Services Coordinator II to manage linen and medical/surgical supply flow within Materials Management. You will issue, deliver, label, and record supplies from storerooms and central sterile processing, while maintaining inventory levels and responding to internal requests.

The role operates 40 hours weekly with a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule (every other weekend and holidays).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or acceptable equivalent.
• At least 1 year experience w/ materials handling, preferably in a Healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, issue, deliver, check and document linen and medical/surgical supplies provided by Materials Management.
• Issues supplies and equipment from storeroom, central sterile processing and vendor source shipments.
• Labels/identifies products and places into appropriate storage locations; replenishes Materials Management inventories.
• Accurately counts and maintains supply & linen levels as established by management.
• Responds to customer requests for supplies and linen needs via verbal, written, phone, pager or Power Chart.
• Maintains clean and orderly work area; rotates through MSC II assignments for cross-training.
• Performs routine assessment for expired product and resolves issues promptly.
• Takes inventory and places orders through in-house or vendor systems.
• Uses manual and automated systems to place orders, record activity, and issue credits.
