Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist I, Logistics to manage inventory ordering, replenishment, receiving, equipment, linen and mail. You will work with WaveMark and PeopleSoft to maintain data integrity and support KPI achievement in a fast-paced clinical setting.

This full-time day position offers a structured schedule and opportunities to participate in process improvements while ensuring safe, efficient supply chain operations across SPD, Interventional labs, or OR.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; or two years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Effective communication with patients, visitors and staff.
• Computer literate with ability to learn various programs.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
• Good organizational skills and critical thinking.
• Ability to think critically and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Follows standard work and methodologies around inventory, receiving, equipment, linen and mail.
• Utilizes standard processes within WaveMark and PeopleSoft to maintain data integrity.
• Uses problem solving to resolve noncomplex situations; consults with SC Leadership as needed.
• Performs daily activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assists with special projects as required and supports daily huddles.
• Orders and delivers supplies and/or linen to user areas based on par level; notifies management of shortages.
• Conducts routine audits of supplies, linen, and equipment for inventory accuracy.
• Identifies discrepancies, expirations, shortages, or overstock; communicates findings and supports corrective actions.
• Answers incoming calls from users identifying supply needs.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and promotes workplace safety.
