Join our Lenexa office as a Construction Materials Testing Project Manager/Engineer/Lead and play a pivotal role in some of Kansas City's most significant projects!

As a key team member, you’ll provide engineering and consulting services across various projects and sectors, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and quality standards. Your responsibilities include leading field investigations, performing engineering analyses, developing plans, overseeing project compliance with specifications, preparing proposals, managing budgets, resolving design challenges, and communicating complex engineering concepts to diverse audiences. You will also develop and mentor new engineers, review their reports and calculations, and contribute to impactful projects in public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, and industrial sectors.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  1. Manage detailed phases of projects with moderate size and complexity as a fully competent engineering/construction professional.
  2. Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
  3. Collaborate closely with senior project managers to gain experience for managing more complex and larger projects.
  4. Perform quality control reviews of proposals and reports prepared by others.
  5. Evaluate complex laboratory and field data for report inclusion.
  6. Serve as a technical adviser to junior team members and supervise field or project staff as needed.
  7. Interact directly with clients and project teams to develop scopes of services, communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations.
  8. Participate in marketing, sales, and business development efforts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 to 15 years’ experience.
  • Successful track record in managing projects.
  • Energetic problem solver.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
