This hands-on role requires a B.S. in a materials-related field and experience with SEM/EDS, optical microscopy, sample preparation, and data interpretation.

Qualifications

• B.S. in a materials-related field required.
• Hands-on microscopy experience and sample preparation expertise.
• Experience with SEM/EDS and optical microscopy.
• Ability to interpret analytical data and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute microscopy investigations and failure analyses.
• Apply techniques like SEM, CLSM, EDS for materials characterization.
• Prepare samples (sectioning, mounting, grinding, polishing, etching, sputter coating).
• Communicate results to engineering teams and customers.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and document audits.
• Prioritize workloads across concurrent projects.
