Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a Coordinator, Materials (Customer Service) to plan materials in a manufacturing setting and manage customer communications and daily release documentation. Qualifications

• Must have business or related degree or 1 year experience in Materials, Planning and Logistics (lean manufacturing).
• Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from limited options.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor all customer communications related to Materials, Planning and Logistics procedures.
• Ensure daily completion of customer shipping communications (ASN, container info, etc).
• Follow customer-dictated order fulfillment procedures.
• Develop daily shipping plans based on customer release and forecast information.
• Create customer required shipping documentation.
• Establish daily production plans per Summit Polymers, Inc. manufacturing protocols.
• Perform inventory analysis and recommend adjustments.
• Maintain contact with customers to ensure timely orders, shipments and changes.
• Report customer issues to appropriate personnel and assist in resolution.
• Communicate blanket orders, spot-buy orders, and release changes to the relevant departments.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to meet daily release requirements.
• Coordinate all new program, new part, or program launch release activities.
• Maintain target inventory levels per corporate goals.
• Analyze production patterns to meet customer and plant expectations.
• Other duties as assigned.
