Job summary

AMETEK NSI-MI Technologies in Suwanee, GA is seeking a Material Handler to manage receipt, inspection, and inventory of materials for our high-precision manufacturing environment. You will unload, inspect, stock, and enter data into the MRP system, while coordinating with procurement, planning, and production teams.

This hourly role requires 3 years in receiving/shipping/inventory, 2 years in quality control, forklift certification, and proficiency with MRP systems.

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma with strong math skills.
• 3 years minimum receiving/shipping/inventory experience.
• 2 years quality control experience.
• Forklift certification or experience.
• Experience with data entry in MRP software.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. and to access export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Unload and inspect incoming materials.
• Inspect components and materials for specifications.
• Identify defects in materials or transit damage.
• Verify quantities and part numbers against procurement docs.
• Approve or reject items and document disposition.
• Receive materials and enter data into the MRP system.
• Maintain Kanban systems for designated hardware items.
• Assist operations with material movement and picking for production.
• Collaborate with Quality and Purchasing on vendor performance.
• Prepare shipments and select cost-effective methods.
• Execute parcel and freight shipments with carriers.
• Perform additional duties to support goals.
