Job summary

AMETEK NSI-MI Technologies in Suwanee, GA seeks a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to manage receipt, inspection, and storage of materials for high-variation, build-to-order manufacturing. You will coordinate domestic and international shipments, work with freight forwarders, and support production with timely material movement.

Responsibilities include unloading, inspecting, data entry into MRP, maintaining Kanban, and collaborating with procurement, planning, warehousing, and production teams

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum receiving/shipping/inventory experience
• 2 years of experience performing a quality control function
• Forklift certification or experience
• Experience with data entry in computer software systems (MRP)
• Demonstrated understanding of material supply and flow in manufacturing environment
• Legal right to work in the U.S. and to access export-controlled information and source code

Responsibilities

• Unload and inspect incoming materials
• Inspect purchased components, assemblies, accessories, and raw materials for specifications
• Identify defects in materials or damage incurred during transit
• Verify quantities and part numbers against procurement documentation
• Approve or reject items based on inspection results
• Enter data into the MRP system and maintain Kanban systems
• Assist operations by facilitating material movement and picking parts for production
• Coordinate with Quality and Purchasing on vendor performance and quality
• Prepare shipments for commercial transport and execute parcel/freight shipments
