Job summary

AMETEK Surface Vision in Newark, DE is seeking a Material Handler to support daily warehouse and manufacturing operations. You will move, store, and track materials throughout production and shipping, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely order fulfillment.

The role requires attention to detail, safety, and clear communication with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Shipping, and Purchasing. You will perform cycle counts, process inbound/outbound materials, and report shortages or non-conforming

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Computer literacy in an ERP system and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with shipping and storeroom procedures is desirable.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming inventory and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Receive, store, and disperse materials in accordance with AMETEK policies and procedures on a timely basis.
• Package and ship customer orders with proper documentation.
• Follow material handling procedures to prevent part shortages.
• Communicate with other departments to support operational needs.
• Complete cycle counts and annual inventory verification.
• Process Disposition Reports for non-conforming parts and products.
• Liaise with Quality Assurance and Purchasing regarding material quality issues.
• Identify and report parts shortages promptly.
• Work safely and report unsafe conditions; ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting.
• Excellent people and communication skills are required (oral and written).
• Other duties deemed necessary by business conditions.
