Job summary

Antora Energy is seeking a Materials R&D Process Technician to join the materials development team at the GrafTech facility in St. Marys, PA.

You will execute high-temperature experiments, set up furnaces, and document results to support Antora’s thermal energy storage program. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented engineer with experience in high-temperature equipment, data acquisition, and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years in hardware R&D lab, test lab, or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor production scale furnaces and high-temperature equipment per test plans.
• Install, configure, and operate DAQ systems, sensors, and thermocouples to capture data.
• Maintain notebooks and digital records, compile data summaries and charts for engineers.
• Perform routine calibration and minor repairs on instrumentation and tools; flag issues.
• Keep the experimental area organized, safe, and compliant with EH&S procedures.
• Contribute to SOP development and improvements to test setups and data workflows.
• Collaborate with materials development engineers to adjust plans based on results.
