  • Own the costed Bill of Materials (cBOM) within a given program. Thoroughly pursue cost optimization activities throughout the product development cycle.
  • Provide frequent written and verbal executive status updates on material, cost, and readiness status.
  • Work fluidly in a cross-functional team environment involving Manufacturing, Product, Global Supply Managers (GSMs), CM, OEM, etc.
  • Work with external suppliers to establish the appropriate delivery schedules for individual components, specifying quantity and frequency targeting on-time delivery; coordinate with Supply Chain and Logistic teams as needed.
  • Ensure BOM accuracy by working with engineering, project management and document control teams.
  • Maintain accurate MRP data to reflect confirmed delivery quantities and due dates from suppliers. Validate, troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide ongoing transparency of inventory levels and ensure continuous inventory accuracy. Understand and work to reduce excess and obsolete inventory liability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive improvement projects to completion.
  • Generate and publish performance metrics for assigned programs.

What makes you a good fit:

  • Significant hands-on experience in materials management, production planning, and/or material scheduling in a manufacturing environment, ideally for both NPI and sustaining products.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand.
  • Ability to present material status effectively in weekly program/executive meetings.
  • Open-minded, collaborative and team-oriented attitude.
  • Self-motivation and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including ability to optimize delivery costs and inventory levels.
