Job summary

Leidos Inc. in Long Beach, MS is seeking a Materials Requisitioner/Planner to support a fast-paced environment.

You will manage the fulfillment acquisition process, create purchase requisitions in CostPoint, and communicate with DoD suppliers to build reliable, on-time delivery. Collaborating with product engineering, production planning, purchasing and quality teams, you will track shipments, maintain BOMs and records, and perform data analysis to meet production schedules and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4–8 years of procurement experience or equivalent education/experience.
• MRP knowledge or CostPoint experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using Windchill or a similar PLM software.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks across multiple systems.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Attention to detail with a customer-focused approach.
• Exposure to supply chain and commodity management in a DFAR environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; strong Excel experience (formulas, filtering and sorting).

Responsibilities

• Manage the fulfillment acquisition process.
• Create purchase requisitions in CostPoint.
• Communicate effectively with DoD industry suppliers and cultivate meaningful relationships.
• Manage Leidos-required supplier paperwork.
• Collaborate with product engineering, production planning, purchasing and quality teams for mission success.
• Track supplier on-time delivery.
• Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectations.
• Maintain purchasing records and BOM status.
• Perform data analysis.
• Understand production flow.
• Create, open and close manufacturing orders.
• Other administrative duties as required.
