Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Materials Requisitioner/Planner for its Long Beach, MS facility in a fast-paced environment. You will handle procurement, create requisitions in CostPoint, and collaborate across engineering, production planning, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with 4–8 years of procurement experience, MRP/CostPoint proficiency, and strong communication skills. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance are preferred.

The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos is seeking a Materials Requisitioner / Planner in the Long Beach, MS facility in a growing, fast‑paced environment.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

• Manage the fulfillment acquisition process
• Create purchase requisitions in CostPoint
• Communicate effectively with DOD industry suppliers and cultivate meaningful relationships
• Manage Leidos required supplier paperwork
• Collaborate with product engineering, production planning, purchasing and quality teams for mission success
• Track supplier on‑time delivery
• Follow‑up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation
• Maintain purchasing records and purchasing BOM status
• Data analysis
• Understand production flow
• Create, open and close manufacturing orders
• Other administrative duties as required

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree and 4-8 years of relevant procurement experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with experience in procurement AND/OR a combination of certifications, training, education, or military experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• MRP knowledge or experience (Costpoint)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using Windchill or a similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work across multiple systems simultaneously
• Good organization and communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Exposure to supply chain and commodity management in DFAR environment
• Strong customer interface skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software
• Strong Excel experience (Create workbooks, create formulas, applying formats, sort, and filter data, etc.)
• Individuals must possess strong characteristics around initiative, attitude, assertiveness and sense of urgency
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) Secret Clearance.

• DoD or Military contract experience
• Supply chain experience
• Experience using Solumina
• Ability to read mechanical drawing and data sheets

Pay Range: $65,650.00 - $118,675.00
