Job summary

Textron offers a paid, full-time 10-week summer internship focused on testing and evaluating metallic materials. Interns will participate in mechanical testing, metallurgical analysis, SEM work, and lab analysis techniques under experienced engineers.

Responsibilities include operating test equipment, preparing samples, performing analyses, and compiling written reports. Pursue a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering and related fields.

Responsibilities

• Machine and test samples using a universal test machine.
• Prepare and examine samples for metallographic analysis.
• Examine samples using a scanning electron microscope.
• Support engineers performing materials evaluation and failure analysis.
• Analyze, archive, and present results in written reports.
