Responsibilities

• Works between scientists, engineers, material management, and technicians to select materials and processes based on properties.
• Participate in troubleshooting process issues, including root cause analysis.
• Help document material specifications, process parameters, and test results.
• Evaluate materials for approval in applications to support production.
• Assist in developing processes that support bill-of-material creation and change management.
• Review the designs for material and process failure modes.
• Research and evaluate new and existing processes, operations, and support systems for adaptation and/or improvements needed to manufacture the quantum computer.
• Perform material characterization of systems in Quantinuum labs and partner with academic and national lab institutions.
