Quantinuum in Broomfield, CO is seeking a Materials and Process Engineer to collaborate with scientists, engineers and technicians to optimize materials and manufacturing processes for quantum hardware.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, documentation of specifications and data-driven improvements, supporting production and BOM changes while upholding safety and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• U.S. Person defined as U.S. citizen, permanent resident or green card holder per contractual requirements.
• Candidates must not be a PRC national or Russian national unless they are a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with scientists, engineers, material management and technicians to select materials and processes.
• Troubleshoot process issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Document material specifications, process parameters and test results.
• Evaluate materials for approval to support production.
• Assist in developing processes for BOM creation and change management.
• Review designs for material and process failure modes.
• Research and evaluate new and existing processes for manufacturing the quantum computer.
• Material characterization of systems in Quantinuum labs and collaborate with external partners.
