Job summary

Quantinuum in Broomfield, CO, is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Engineer to own system design and product definition for next‑gen quantum computing systems. You will oversee physical integration, subsystems fit, and documentation alignment from research hardware to production.

You will also manage CAD assemblies, BOMs, and released configurations while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive, manufacturable enclosure designs and accurate product structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 6+ years of related work experience.
• U.S. Person as defined by contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• System-level mechanical design of the quantum computer and its physical environment.
• Develop equipment layouts, interfaces, enclosures, service access, and room-level space plans.
• Define mechanical interfaces across optical, electrical, thermal, vacuum, fluid, and facility systems.
• Allocate mechanical requirements to subsystems.
• Create and maintain CAD assemblies, drawings, interface definitions, BOMs, and release configurations.
• Maintain system product structure and ensure alignment of revisions and configurations.
• Promote disciplined CAD, PLM, naming, and configuration-control practices.
