Job summary

Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) unit is designing, building and commissioning a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. You will support material planning and coordination to ensure timely delivery of materials for work packages.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5–12 years of relevant experience. You will collaborate with Engineering, Procurement and Construction to optimize material management and reporting across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of vendor materials, tools, consumables and safety material.
• Experience in receiving documentation paperwork requirements.
• Strong automation skills and ability to learn new applications quickly, including DSCS.
• Knowledge of field purchasing functions and material storage.

Responsibilities

• Implements the Material Management Plan and coordinates the specification, identification, and quantification of materials with Engineering and Construction during front-end activities.
• Optimizes materials planning processes for key material commodities.
• Ensures clear material identification methodology and defined responsibilities across project functions and commodity work processes.
• Identifies special or lengthy approval requirements that could impact timely issuance of key deliverables.
• Coordinates with Engineering on design drawings and data needed from suppliers that affect timely issuance of other deliverables.
• Assists Engineering in implementing component numbering approaches per the project plan, including tagged materials and spares.
• Verifies requisitions clearly identify required pay items and storage/shipments details.
• Monitors Engineering and Supply Chain deliverable schedules to ensure alignment with construction.
