Job summary

Bechtel's Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) unit is designing, building and commissioning a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. M&T serves customers across semiconductor, data center, life sciences and EV markets, delivering projects with agility, advanced technologies and top talent.

Assigned to a field engineering organization, the role supports planning, coordination, material management, safety, quality control, subcontractor submittal reviews, and turnover coordination to ensure installations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of architectural plans, elevations, and specifications.
• Ability to document non-conformances and initiate corrective actions.
• Experience conducting site inspections to verify waterproofing, insulation and finishes.
• Collaborates with architects, engineers, MEP teams and subcontractors to resolve conflicts.
• Ensures field installations comply with design intent and codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and interfaces with planning for architectural construction.
• Generates field requisitions and performs quantity takeoffs for field purchases.
• Verifies commodities in quantity tracking systems and databases.
• Enforces zero accident philosophy and ensures safe tools and equipment.
• Develops understanding of system scope and drawings for package development.
• Reviews inspection test plans and coordinates with subcontractors.
