Job summary

Baker Hughes in Houston, TX seeks a Materials Manager to run the material plan and execution for the FPS manufacturing unit. You will manage master scheduling, purchasing needs, and ensure KPI alignment on the production line.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in materials planning, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Occasional travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Materials Planning and Execution.
• Interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Ability to lead programs / projects.
• Document, plan, market, and execute programs; established project management skills.
• Travel to manufacturing plants up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Managing master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
• Conducting frequent interactions on manager level with Engineering, maintenance, planning and enabling functions about technical and organizational alignment.
• Handling complex manufacturing processes. Manufacturing department has to define approaches. Variety due to customization to client needs.
• Leading a medium sized manufacturing unit with a budget > $ 5 million.
• Leading S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process, master scheduling, production planning, materials planning & warehouse teams.
