Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Production Planner / Scheduler to develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, material availability, and capacity. You will work with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Purchasing, and Operations to set priorities and protect delivery commitments.

The role requires a 4-6+ year background in production planning, strong ERP/MRP experience, and advanced Excel skills. This on-site US role offers growth within a global energy technology company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, industrial distribution, or related field.
• Five+ years in production planning, scheduling, materials management, or buyer/planner roles in industrial manufacturing.
• Strong ERP/MRP system experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience analyzing demand, capacity, inventory, lead times, and material requirements.
• Ability to read BOMs, routings, work orders, and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules by department and work cell.
• Convert orders and SIOP forecasts into executable production plans.
• Create, review and release production work orders and supporting docs.
• Monitor production progress, WIP inventory, and schedule adherence.
• Identify shortages, capacity constraints, and delivery risks.
• Adjust and expedit schedules as priorities change.
• Communicate status, constraints, and risks to management and commercial teams.
• Coordinate with Purchasing to align material availability and supplier delivery dates.
