Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Material Planner Assistant to support seating production. The role involves purchasing materials, managing inventory thresholds, and coordinating with production on shortages and ETAs.

The candidate will learn to use AS400, MRP files, Plex, and other tools while gaining exposure to scheduling and procurement processes in a manufacturing setting.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED with minimum 2 years related experience; automotive/trucking industry preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication with accuracy under pressure.
• Experience operating in multiple ERP/Electronic Order Entry systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple tasks.

Mansioni

• Assist and train with Material Planners to learn duties and responsibilities.
• Purchase materials, supplies, and services to support CVG's seating production.
• Maintain inventory thresholds to support productivity and profitability.
• Forecast parts usage and manage current and future needs.
• Communicate shortages and ETAs to production teams.
• Maintain delivery reports and update open orders.
• Manage purchase schedules and create purchase orders for suppliers.
• Learn to use AS400, MRP file, Plex, and vendor returns.
• Learn scheduling processes and production scheduling.
