Job summary

Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc is seeking a Material Planner I to support the Global Truck division at Vonore/Piedmont. You will implement daily task routines, plan loads, and coordinate with operations, shipping and receiving to keep daily objectives on track.

The role requires experience with Mapics/ERP systems and strong Excel skills, with a focus on supplier development and forecasting. A high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in a related role are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with minimum 2 years related experience; automotive/trucking experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems; able to operate in multiple systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication, problem solving, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement a daily task routine.
• Use load planning to arrange pick-ups and monitor them.
• Work with operations, shipping and receiving to support plant daily objectives.
• Assist with supplier development and forecasting needs.
• Train new planners and communicate with internal/external customers.
