Job summary

TransPak, a long-standing packaging solutions provider, is seeking a Detail-oriented Material Planner in Newark, CA. You will manage material flow, coordinate with production, purchasing, and inventory to ensure on-time delivery and optimize efficiency.

The role emphasizes ERP/MRP scheduling, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal candidates have an associate degree, Sage ERP experience, and scheduling certification, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication

Qualifications

• Associates degree from a two-year college.
• ERP experience, specifically Sage.
• Scheduling/planning certification.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Strong analytical thinking.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drives effective material flow to meet contracts and delivery dates.
• Develops manufacturing workflows from forecasts and orders to minimize overtime.
• Plans and schedules material flow for operations with established lead times.
• Communicates with production to prioritize shipments and safety stock.
• Coordinates with purchasing, inventory, and engineering on part setup and new products.
• Monitors materials and resolves shortages or delays; supports continuous improvement.
• Uses ERP/MRP to schedule firm work orders and produces production reports.
