Job summary

Rheem in Montgomery, Alabama, is seeking a Material Planner II to maintain optimal levels of raw materials and components to support production. The incumbent will manage MRP data, collaborate with vendors, and drive continuous improvement in material flow while aligning with lean and JIT practices.

The role requires strong planning, organization, and communication skills, with experience in ERP systems and Excel. onsite work is expected.

Qualifications

3+ years of related experience in material planning.
Demonstrated capabilities in planning, organization, integration and control of material planning.
Strong communication skills and ability to present information clearly.
Independent thought, good judgment and problem-solving ability.
A team player with interpersonal skills in a matrix environment.
Self-motivated with little supervision and proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel).
Experience with ERP and materials management concepts.

Responsibilities

Monitor and update min/max reorder levels for materials and components.
Conduct inventory analysis to maximize turns and reduce obsolescence.
Support BOM accuracy and supplier forecasts with procurement teams.
Collaborate with vendors, production and quality teams on material availability.
Communicate ECNs for new or revised raw materials to production teams.
Assist in Lean and JIT initiatives and continuous improvement.
Participate in production and material planning meetings.
