Job summary

Rheem is seeking a dedicated Material Planner II to maintain material levels and support production through effective MRP management. The role is based onsite in Montgomery, AL, and requires collaboration with procurement, production, and engineering teams.

You will monitor min/max levels, analyze inventory, review obsolescence, and adjust planning parameters across ERP systems while contributing to lean and JIT initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update min/max reorder levels for raw materials and components.
• Analyze inventory to maximize turns and reduce obsolescence.
• Review dormant, excess, and obsolete materials and take corrective actions.
• Submit deviations and adjust MRP to maintain accurate backflushing.
• Set up ERP planning parameters and keep them updated.
• Communicate material issues in production meetings and suggest solutions.
• Review supplier forecasts quarterly and assess vendor performance.
• Promote lean practices and JIT methodologies in material management.
• Coordinate with vendors, production, purchasing and other stakeholders on material availability.
• Assist in improving material flow to accommodate schedule changes with minimal disruption.
• Support KPIs established by Materials Manager and Supervisor.
