Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in St. Louis is seeking a Material Planner 1 to support Production and Completions in an ERP/MRP environment. You will audit planning data, respond to schedule changes, and work with procurement and operations to ensure material availability.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and entry-level experience in manufacturing/materials planning, with strong PC skills and familiarity with SAP preferred. This role is full-time on-site in St. Louis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in materials management, operations management, or manufacturing engineering.
• Entry level with related manufacturing or materials planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish material requirements aligned with production rates and supplier lead times.
• Maintain planning data including BOM attributes in ERP/MRP systems.
• Initiate purchase requisitions and orders for new or existing items at reorder points.
• Coordinate with departments to expedite parts for operations and Gulfstream customers.
• Analyze shortages, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
• Monitor excess inventory and determine redistribution or disposal needs.
• Prepare reports on inventory status and service levels weekly and monthly.
• Generate replenishment schedules and communicate changes to buyers/planners.
