Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Create, review and release manufacturing and/or purchase orders in a timely manner; expedite, cancel, defer as needed.

  • Plan and publish an executable, frozen Five day Production Schedule that meets customer demand and stocking levels.

  • Coordinate Raw Materials and components to support schedule.

  • Advise and work with appropriate personnel when problems arise in regards to equipment, materials, inventory, documentation, invoice discrepancies, raw materials replenishment, delivery or quality performance. Bring up and keep operations and management informed of critical situations.

  • Ensure prompt disposition of any non-conformances to minimize impact to the schedule.

  • Communicate lead times and respond to inquiries on customer orders and quotes. Ensure responses are communicated promptly and authoritatively.

  • Develop and maintain a validated understanding of assigned parts & processes.

  • Participate actively in lean initiatives, team activities and continuous improvement projects.

  • Performs rotational assignments as needed and other responsibilities and/or duties as apparent or assigned.

YOU HAVE:

  • BS / BA Degree in supply chain OR 5+ years related experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment

  • Proficient use with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, Windows, PowerPoint.

  • Previous experience in Manufacturing, preferably in steel stamping and assembly.

  • Knowledge of MRP and material flow processes.
