Work Location: This role works remotely and will be at one of our offices or manufacturing facilities a couple of times/month. Residing within 100 miles of Akron, Ohio, is required.

Role Objective:

This position is responsible for demand planning (forecasting). It plays a key role in developing revised demand and/or production plans through the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) processes, based on disconnects between actual demand and forecasts.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Focus on the short-term S&OE time frame at SKU-Plant level.
  • Validate historical cadence and adjust as needed.
  • Use available techniques and Demand Planning systems to monitor and update demand plans within relevant time frames.
  • Perform demand forecast analysis focusing on key drivers and weekly plans.
  • Monitor sales deviations (MAPE or WMAPE), forecast value addition, and bias.
  • Support inputs from sales, marketing, finance, and other functions on the demand plan.
  • Collaborate across business units and time frames to synchronize system changes.
  • Prepare and facilitate demand planning meetings (monthly or weekly).
  • Coordinate with supply and sales planning teams for product transitions and promotions.
  • Manage promotional planning adjustments within the weekly supply planning horizon.
  • Provide analysis and reports to improve forecast accuracy.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, or Logistics preferred.
  • At least three (3) years of analytical/system experience required.
  • Experience with IBP is a plus.
  • Proven analytical, process, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Sumifs, Match functions).

Supervision/Coordination:

Individual contributor reporting directly to the Supply Chain Planning Director.

Role Type:

Mostly virtual; less than 10% on-site work.

Travel Requirements:

Travel between Northeast Ohio campus locations as needed.
