Job summary

Insight Global in Fremont is seeking a materials coordination specialist to ensure proper placement of parts for engineering and production teams. You will coordinate material movement, manage reservations, support shipments, and work heavily in SAP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Experience using SAP.
• Familiar with SAP transactions MD04, MB51, LS24, ME27, MB21, MB22, MB23.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs and formulas).
• Comfortable navigating SharePoint.
• Familiarity with creating PowerPoint presentations.
• High School Diploma or above.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipments of engineering-owned materials for new products.
• Manage the Project Services Fremont mailbox.
• Manage material reservations for inventory.
• Coordinate movement and transfers of materials between locations and the production floor.
• Work closely with Program/Product Management, Engineering, Production Control, and Supply Chain.
• Provide ad hoc reporting to the Product Group.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and teams.
• Communicate material or delivery issues that could impact build schedules.
• Track and coordinate where materials need to go and when they are needed.

Job description

This person will help make sure materials and parts are in the right place when engineering and production teams need them. They’ll be coordinating material movement, managing inventory reservations, supporting shipments, working in SAP, and communicating with engineering, production, supply chain, and program teams. This is a good fit for someone coming from materials planning, inventory control, production planning, supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics who is comfortable working heavily in SAP and Excel.

Must-Haves

• Experience using SAP
• Ideally familiar with SAP transactions such as MD04, MB51, LS24, ME27, MB21, MB22, and MB23
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, specifically VLOOKUPs and formulas
• Comfortable navigating SharePoint
• Familiarity with creating PowerPoint presentations
• High School Diploma or above

• Manufacturing or production environment experience
