Responsibilities include operating forklifts, ensuring safety, processing shipping documentation, and optimizing warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years in materials management with 2+ years in lead role.
• Forklift certification preferred and experience operating heavy material handling equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong organizational and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of materials technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Manage all aspects of material receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance according to procedures and project schedules.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using material management systems and conduct regular inventories.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Operate and maintain material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols for materials handling and warehouse operations.
• Prepare and process shipping/receiving documentation (packing lists, bills of lading, transfer forms).
• Identify and report damaged or defective materials; assist in resolution of material-related issues.
• Optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions to maximize efficiency.
• Assist in development and implementation of material control strategies and best practices.
