Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Grenada, Mississippi, is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, and move materials within the plant and adjacent areas, supporting production by delivering parts and coils to the line and other departments. You will operate a forklift, use a scan gun and computer systems, and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Movement of materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area using hand-truck, electric dolly, fork lift, electric tugger or other device.
• Pickup coils from end of production lines and deliver parts to production or fin press and assist in other areas as needed.
• Make mathematic calculations as part of daily tasks.
• Work well with Production and other Stockroom personnel.
• Be willing to learn all stockroom functions.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Position Description

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of following duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Movement of materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand-truck, electric dolly, fork lift, electric tugger, or other device.
• Responsibilities include picking up coils from the end of the production lines, delivery of parts as needed to production, delivery of parts to fin press, upend fin sock and help in other area as needed.
• Position requires ability to make mathematic calculations.
• Applicant must work well with Production and other Stockroom personnel.
• Applicant must be willing to learn all stockroom functions.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Position Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• The ability to use a forklift, computer and scan gun
• Position requires staggered hours when required and any required overtime.

Requires lifting and pushing up to 50 lbs
