Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Grenada, Mississippi is seeking a Material Handler to load, unload, and move materials within the plant and yard. You will use a forklift or electric tugger, handle coils and parts, and assist production teams while performing basic math, pace with safety rules, and learn stockroom functions.

Responsibilities

• Move materials within plant, yard, or work site using appropriate equipment.

• Coordinate with Production and Stockroom personnel to ensure timely delivery.

Position Description

Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, performing any combination of following duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Movement of materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand-truck, electric dolly, fork lift, electric tugger, or other device.
• Responsibilities include picking up coils from the end of the production lines, delivery of parts as needed to production, delivery of parts to fin press, upend fin sock and help in other area as needed.
• Position requires ability to make mathematic calculations.
• Applicant must work well with Production and other Stockroom personnel.
• Applicant must be willing to learn all stockroom functions.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Must have Commercial Driver License
• The ability to use a forklift, computer and scan gun
• Position requires staggered hours when required and any required overtime.
• Requires lifting and pushing up to 50 lbs.
