Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is seeking a Materials Manager to lead the materials plan through strategic supplier relationships and a team of direct reports in Newton, IA.

Key duties include inventory control, cycle counts, receiving, interplant shipments, and end-of-month reporting, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years in manufacturing (3+ in supervision) are preferred; APICS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 in a supervisory capacity.
• APICS certification is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel (Intermediate to Advanced), Word and Outlook.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, drawings, or other technical material.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Adaptable organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Process and results driven with a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Control and reconcile the accuracy and organization of all tower parts inventory.
• Oversee the Cycle Count program and Shortage Report.
• Manage receiving processes and inbound shipments.
• Coordinate interplant shipments and end-of-month reporting.
• Lead and develop the Materials team including supervisors and staff.
• Ensure paperwork is entered into BPCS and SOX/reporting requirements are met.
• Work with Supply Chain to prevent material shortages and optimize operations.
