Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required; prefer business or engineering.
• Six or more years of related managerial and logistics experience required.
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly schedule in-bound, inter-plant, and out-bound materials and logistics operations.
• Control inventory levels and conduct physical inventory, cycle counts, and ERP reconciliation.
• Utilize ERP to ensure material availability in support of production requirements.
• Direct production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts.
• Develop and implement materials handling procedures for safe, accurate movement of material.
• Oversee shipping and receiving functions related to purchased parts and finished goods.
• Provide day-to-day support to plant scheduling and materials personnel to meet cost, quality, delivery, and working capital targets.
• Coordinate and publish daily/weekly/monthly/YTD metrics as per scorecard process.
• Support supplier development activities and liaise with Corporate Materials and supply partners.
• Plan and direct storage and inter-facility storage and logistics to improve material flow.
