Job summary
MPI Products LLC in Deerfield, WI, is seeking an energetic Materials Manager to lead material flow, production planning, inventory optimization, and logistics. You will report to the General Manager and balance customer demand with supplier capacity to support on-time delivery.
Responsibilities include optimizing inventory, managing ERP-driven schedules, leading planning meetings, and improving supplier performance while safeguarding working capital.
Qualifications
- Experience in materials management, production planning, inventory control, logistics, or related areas.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Experience working with an ERP system; PLEX experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead materials and inventory management to optimize stock levels and working capital.
- Oversee production planning and scheduling using the PLEX ERP to translate demand forecasts into production plans.
- Manage supplier delivery lead times and performance metrics, expedite shortages, and develop recovery plans.
- Direct logistics operations including shipping, data management, and delivery communications.
- Lead a team of production planners and shipping/receiving personnel to ensure on-time delivery.
