Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Fields & Rotors COE materials manager to lead the materials organization, focusing on wing-to-wing processes and continuous improvement. The role partners with operations to meet on-time delivery while reducing inventory and improving material flow.

You will oversee planning, procurement, production control and inventory, driving LEAN practices and supporting SIOP & S&OE processes; lead capacity planning and ensure schedules stay synchronized using ERP systems and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field from an accredited university.
  • A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • SAP experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of materials personnel in materials planning, procurement requirements, production control and inventory control.
  • Ensure standard materials processes and KPIs are used to optimize delivery with minimal inventory cost.
  • Implement LEAN material practices and standards.
  • Support SIOP & S&OE processes: contribute to procurement timing, order release requirements, capacity, and lead-times.
  • Lead CRP processes by gathering and loading information into planning tools and providing updates.
  • Synchronize master and production schedules using ERP (PMx) and other tools.
  • Provide training for planning tools and monitor their use.
  • Report and monitor KPIs: on-time to promise, on-time to need, system health, master data adherence, inventory balance, and inventory turns.
  • Lead and monitor logistics activities: receipts, days to stock, inventory accuracy, shortages.
  • Communicate business goals and processes clearly; apply experience to solve problems.
  • Demonstrate leadership and drive change.

Job Description Summary

The Fields & Rotors COE materials manager will be responsible for leading the materials organization focused on the execution of wing-to-wing materials processes and continuous improvement. This role will partner closely with operations to execute on-time delivery objectives while implementing materials strategies to reduce inventory and improve material flow.

Job Description Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of materials personnel in materials planning, procurement requirements, production control and inventory control, demonstrating strong integration with manufacturing operations teams and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ensures that standard materials processes and standard KPIs are used to provide the best delivery with the lowest inventory cost for the assigned area
  • Implement LEAN material practices and standards
  • Support the SIOP & S&OE processes: contribute to material procurement timing, order release requirements, available capacity, & lead-times
  • Lead capacity requirements planning (CRP) processes by gathering & loading information into planning tools, analyzing data, and providing regular updates
  • Ensure that the master schedule and production schedules are synchronized using ERP (PMx) and other tools.
  • Ensure that training and skills necessary to use planning tools are provided and tools are monitored for appropriate use.
  • Report and monitor COE materials-related KPIs: on time to promise, on time to need, system health & usage, master data adherence, inventory balance, and inventory turns.
  • Lead and monitor all the logistics activities such as incoming receipts, days to stock, inventory accuracy (cycle counts), and shortages
  • Demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment.
  • Uses experience and expertise to solve problems.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field from an accredited university
  • A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • SAP experience in a manufacturing environment

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
