Job summary

Compass Surgical Partners seeks a Materials Manager to lead supply chain and materials management at St. Francis Ambulatory Surgery Center in Midlothian, VA.

You will oversee purchasing, inventory, vendor coordination, and ensure supply availability for safe, efficient, high-quality surgical care. Collaborate with clinical teams, center leadership, physicians, and Compass partners to establish effective supply chain processes from the ground up while balancing clinical needs and cost management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in materials management preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory levels to support daily surgical operations.
• Review surgery schedules to anticipate supply and equipment needs.
• Order, receive, and distribute supplies in accordance with facility policies in HST Pathways and Envi.
• Manage vendor relationships, review pricing, and coordinate special equipment requests.
• Ensure accuracy of purchase orders, invoices, and backorders.
• Support facility safety, infection control, and quality management programs.
• Maintain organized and secure storage areas.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team initiatives.
