Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Material Control Supervisors across all sites to deliver and control all material being utilized in the production and assembly of trailers and chassis products.
- Establish and implement plans for material presentation, delivery, and management from receipts to shipments.
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain team and Suppliers to implement Kanbans and lean methods to manage material from supplier site to assembly.
- Establish and implement plans for storage of material within each site utilizing lean principles.
- Establish and implement methods and best practices related to systems and processes that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control.
- Prepare customer delivery reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to proactively communicate potential late deliveries.
- Establish and supervise production scheduling activities by monitoring material inventories, tracking production progress, and reviewing schedule-affecting factors.
- Coordinate with quality, engineering, machining, and assembly operations to ensure 100% on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedules and proactively addressing issues.
- Ensure accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing an inventory control system in collaboration with Finance, capable of identifying discrepancies and taking corrective actions.
- Achieve financial objectives by working with management to prepare the materials budget, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and initiate corrective actions.
- Participate in MRB and CAR meetings to resolve quality issues with internal and external resources.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Quality to achieve cost reduction targets.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and adhering to policies aligned with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related discipline.
- Licenses/Certifications: APICS certification is a plus.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: At least 5 years of progressive management experience in materials and logistics within a design and manufacturing environment; experience with Lean, Total Quality, Six Sigma; proficiency with ERP/MRP systems; knowledge of line-side inventory, pull systems (KanBan), and supplier-managed inventory; proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong communication skills; ability to stay current with industry best practices; skills in tools, processes, and metrics to optimize supplier value; ability to work collaboratively across functions; strong technical writing and record-keeping skills; financial analysis skills including cost modeling and make vs. buy analysis; ability to use metrics to improve supplier performance.
