Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Material Control Supervisors across all sites to manage materials used in the production and assembly of trailers and chassis products.
- Establish and implement plans for material presentation, delivery, and management from receipts to shipments.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain teams and Suppliers to implement Kanbans and lean methods for material management from supplier to assembly.
- Develop storage plans within each site utilizing lean principles.
- Establish and implement systems and processes supporting inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control.
- Prepare customer delivery reports by analyzing information and trends to proactively communicate potential delays.
- Supervise production scheduling activities by monitoring inventories, tracking production progress, and reviewing schedule-impacting factors.
- Coordinate with quality, engineering, machining, and assembly to ensure 100% on-time delivery by monitoring schedules and addressing issues proactively.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by managing an inventory control system, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
- Work with management to prepare budgets, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in MRB and CAR meetings to resolve quality issues collaboratively.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to meet cost reduction targets.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Attend scheduled work hours reliably and maintain good attendance.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field.
- Licenses/Certifications: APICS certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in management of materials and logistics within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean, total quality, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, forecasting, and order policies.
- Experience with line-side inventory, pull systems (KanBan), and supplier-managed inventory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of industry best practices and technology trends.
- Skills in tools, processes, and metrics to optimize supplier value.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Technical writing and documentation skills.
- Financial analysis skills including cost modeling and make vs. buy analysis.
- Ability to use metrics to improve supplier performance.
